The Exhibitor Edit: DOUXE x Independent Hotel Show Munich
What does your business do?
At DOUXE HOTEL LUXURY, we develop and produce everything related to hotel beds and bath textiles, from complete beds, mattresses, duvets, pillows to bed linens, bath linens, and spa products. We are a one-stop-shop for luxury bed and bath products, serving the independent hotel and yachting industries. What makes us stand out is the convenience we offer and our five-star service.
Describe DOUXE in three words.
Five-star hotel luxury.
What differentiates your brand from competitors in the market?
We produce high-quality products, all sustainably manufactured in Europe using the finest materials. Hoteliers can choose from a wide range of products, already proven and loved by hotel guests worldwide, or have them custom-made to fit the DNA and specific needs of their hotel brand.
As a first-time exhibitor at the show, what are you most looking forward to?
We’re excited to showcase our range of high-quality hotel products, especially our retail program designed for hotels. For selective, independent luxury hotel groups, we have developed a special “hotel for home” collection. This is a perfect way for hotels to extend the guest journey and become a part of their guests' daily lives. The result? A loyal fanbase for your hotel brand and an easy way to reach new potential guests. We've successfully done this for renowned hotels like Hotel Okura Amsterdam and Conservatorium Amsterdam.
What can hoteliers expect to see and experience at your stand?
At our stand, visitors will be welcomed into a cosy five-star environment where they can indulge in all the hotel products we offer. We also aim to inspire them with the projects we’ve completed for other independent luxury hotels.
What steps are DOUXE taking towards sustainability?
All of our products are produced in small-scale factories across Europe, and we prioritize carrying key quality and sustainability certifications, such as the Downpass responsible down label. Additionally, we support ocean missions to fight plastic pollution, which we believe is one of the most critical environmental challenges. We challenge ourselves daily to reduce plastic packaging, and we’ve already transitioned to biodegradable and reusable linen bags. For the B2B market, we even offer recycled down and feather products.
Are there any exciting trends you’re seeing in the hotel sector this year?
One interesting trend is that hotels are striving to be unique and offer a one-of-a-kind experience. Interiors are increasingly custom-designed, with the location being less of a deciding factor for bookings. Instead, it’s the unique interiors, art pieces, and events that attract guests. This is something you’ll find more in boutique and independent hotels than in traditional chains.
Another trend that has persisted is sleep tourism. After COVID, this concept has taken off, with guests focusing on improving their sleep and wellness. High-quality mattresses and luxury bedding are more important than ever, with guest ratings for beds on Booking.com being one of the key factors in choosing a hotel.
